At SAFIX (accessible from https://safix.online/), protecting visitor privacy is one of our core priorities. This Privacy Policy explains, in detail, what information our website collects, how our free browser-based tools handle your files, how third-party advertising and analytics services operate on our site, and the choices available to you. By using SAFIX, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Client-Side Processing & File Security
SAFIX is built around a simple principle: your files belong to you, and only you. Every tool on our platform — including our current tools and every new tool we release in the future, across any category — is engineered to run entirely inside your own web browser using modern technologies such as JavaScript and WebAssembly. When you select a file in any SAFIX tool, that file is read directly from your device's memory and processed locally on your own computer or phone.
At no point is your original file, or the file produced after processing, uploaded, transmitted, copied, or stored on any SAFIX server or any third-party server that we control. We do not maintain back-end storage for user files, we do not create backups of your uploads, and we have no technical ability to view, access, or recover any file you process on this site. Once you close or refresh the browser tab, the file and any related data are cleared from your device's memory.
This "zero-upload" architecture applies to every tool available on SAFIX today and to all tools and categories we add going forward.
2. Information We Do and Do Not Collect
Because processing happens locally, SAFIX does not collect, store, or have access to the content of any file you process using our tools. We also do not require account registration, so we do not collect information such as your name, date of birth, or a password to use our tools.
We may automatically collect limited, non-identifying technical information when you visit our website, such as your approximate location (city or country level, derived from IP address), browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring website, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. This information is collected through standard server logs and analytics tools and is used only in aggregate to understand how visitors use SAFIX and to improve our website's performance, security, and content.
If you voluntarily contact us — for example, through our Contact form — we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message, solely to respond to your inquiry. This information is never shared or sold to third parties.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
SAFIX uses browser LocalStorage, a small amount of data stored directly in your browser, to remember your interface preferences, such as your Dark/Light theme selection. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to our servers, and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
We do not use first-party cookies to track your identity across sessions or across other websites.
4. Third-Party Advertising & Analytics (Google AdSense, Google Analytics)
SAFIX partners with third-party advertising and analytics providers, including Google AdSense and Google Analytics, to support the free operation of this website and to understand overall site traffic. These third parties may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to SAFIX and other websites, in order to serve advertisements about goods and services that may interest you and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to SAFIX and other websites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and/or other sites. Third-party ad networks may also use non-personally-identifiable information, such as click data, cookie data, and IP address, to improve the relevance of the ads you see. SAFIX has no direct access to, or control over, the cookies placed by these third-party advertisers or analytics providers, and this Privacy Policy does not cover their individual data-collection practices.
Opt-out options: You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of a number of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. To learn more about how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites, visit www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.
5. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides similar rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request its deletion. Because SAFIX collects minimal personal data and never receives your file content, most requests can be resolved quickly — please contact us using the form below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Children's Privacy
SAFIX does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13, or the applicable age of digital consent in your region. Our tools are general-audience tools intended for students, professionals, and everyday users. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through our Contact form, please reach out and we will take steps to remove it.
7. Data Security
Because your files are processed locally and never leave your device, the risk of file-related data exposure is inherently minimized. For the limited technical and contact information we do handle, we use industry-standard security practices, including HTTPS encryption for all traffic between your browser and SAFIX.
8. Links to Other Websites
SAFIX may contain links to external websites, including advertiser websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party websites, and we encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, new tools, or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
10. Contact Us
